CNC MACHINISTS – MILLING NEEDED ASAP FOR AEROSPACE COMPANY IN PORTLAND CT.
- Second shift – Full time, on site, M-F
- Weekly Hours: 40-45 hours per week, 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM (Possible earlier shift available)
As an Aerospace CNC Machinist, you will be at the forefront of manufacturing high-precision, tight-tolerance aerospace components. Your expertise in operating CNC machines will ensure our productivity levels are optimized and our quality standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machining Excellence: Operate CNC and other manufacturing machines to produce high-quality machined parts, maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Keep detailed records and maintain equipment and supplies.
- Production Planning: Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and materials specifications to plan production. Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) to ensure accurate machining parameters.
- Precision Measurement: Ensure the finished product meets proper dimensions and tolerance levels by using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Education & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of CNC operation experience.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. GD&T knowledge is essential.
- Measuring Equipment: Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, depth gauges, and size blocks.

- Attention to Detail: Must be accurate, detail-oriented, and quality-conscious.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve processes for enhanced productivity and quality.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

- Shift: 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $25-$32 per hour, based on experience. There is an additional “shift differential” of up to 15% paid for working on the 2nd shift.
